Samskaras

Description

Every action or intent by an individual leaves an impression, impact, imprint in the deeper structure of an individual’s psyche. This imprint is called a samskara. As a person grows, these impressions, ideas, or actions manifest as habits and tendencies that result in unconscious impulses and patterns of behaviors. These habits create grooves, or samskaras, that grow more deeply with each repetition, resulting in a karmic manifestation where we cycle a specific emotional and mental pattern over again and again through lifetimes. The more deeply these grooves are created, the more difficult they are for us to resist.
